  • 5–10 years of progressively responsible experience in municipal civil engineering
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan or ability to become licensed within 3 years

Kalamazoo Office & Grand Rapids Office — We are looking for interns for Summer 2018 to assist our Field Crew. Interns will be responsible for collecting manhole, storm sewer sanitary sewer pipe, and topographic data, and may also gather video documentation of manhole and pipe conditions.

Requirements
  • Fluent in English language.
  • Able to provide proof of valid MI driver’s license.
  • Able to walk long distances and lift up to 100 pounds multiple times a day.
  • Able to work outside for up to 50 hours a week, with possible Saturday hours.
  • Must provide steel-toed work boots.

Responsibilities include collecting manhole, storm sewer and sanitary sewer pipe, and topographic data, will assist with construction staking, mark points of measurement with elevation, station number or other identifying mark and measure distance between survey points.

WATER & WASTEWATER TREATMENT ENGINEER

Grand Rapids Office — We are looking to hire an experienced civil engineer to support growth in our wastewater treatment engineering business. Job responsibilities include: project development, project management, field investigations, design engineering, construction engineering, client management, and business development for wastewater treatment projects.

Requirements
  • Bachelor of science degree in civil engineering; master’s degree in environmental engineering is preferred
  • 10–15 years of progressively responsible experience in wastewater treatment and process engineering
  •  Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan or have the ability to become registered within 12 months
  • Work experience should include: biological modeling, IPP, MAHL, design engineering, construction phase engineering, construction observation, client management, and business development
  • Experience in the State of Michigan is preferred
