Non-Motorized Bridge Wins Two Awards

June 3, 2016

Congratulations to the City of Ionia and our P&N project team for winning the American Public Works Association (APWA) Michigan Chapter Project of the Year in the Quality of Life category, for the Grand River Valley Trail and Bridge over M–66 project. This project combined pedestrian safety with unique design to create a win–win situation for both the Grand River Valley Trail and the City of Ionia. This year’s APWA Michigan Chapter Great Lakes Expo, where this award was presented, was held at the Grand Traverse Resort in Acme, Michigan.

This project also won the Quality of Life Award from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Michigan Section, and was presented at the ASCE Michigan Infrastructure Conference on May 13.
