Stormwater, Asset Management, and Wastewater (SAW) Grant Program VERY Popular!

The numbers are in:

  • 673 SAW applicants requested $541,000,000 on December 2, 2013.
  • $97,000,000 is available in 2014, while the SAW Program has an additional $350,000,000 to distribute over the next several years.
  • MDEQ’s lottery will determine which applications will be successful. Roughly 5 out of 6 applications will be funded…eventually.
  • MDEQ has 60 days to publish a notice of the applications in its calendar and 120 days to review and notify applicants whether their application was approved or rejected. MDEQ expects to have an update on the application and lottery process in January 2014.
