MDEQ awarded Kalamazoo Valley Community College $945,000 to clean up sites along Portage Creek, making way for its new Health Focused Campus. P&N helped KVCC with all the paperwork to make this grant a reality.

Contaminated sites are usually a major roadblock in redeveloping urban areas, and KVCC worked with the City of Kalamazoo Brownfield Redevelopment Authority and MDEQ to make this project possible. The grant will help KVCC improve Portage Creek’s ecosystem and a new paved trail will allow people to experience nature. Plus, this project is expected to create 100 new jobs.

P&N is enjoying being a part of this exciting redevelopment in downtown Kalamazoo!
