Important Information

Contract 3: Construct force main from Heights Ravenna Road to Muskegon County Resource Recovery Center.

Access/Traffic: Local traffic will be maintained during pipeline construction. There may be times when your driveway is inaccessible because pipeline construction is occurring in front of your house or driveway restoration is taking place. The contractor will work with you ahead of time and will make special access arrangements with you if needed.

Mail: Mailboxes that interfere with pipeline construction will be temporarily relocated so that mail service can be maintained during construction. If your mailbox needs to be temporarily relocated, the contractor will inform you of where it has been moved to and when they anticipate it will be returned to its original location.

Garbage Pickup: The contractor will work with you and your waste hauler to maintain service throughout construction. If pipeline construction interferes with your waste haulers ability to pick up your garbage, the contractor will temporarily move your garbage bins to a central location and return them to the end of your driveway by the end of the work day.

June 9, 2025

**Enlsey Road north of Sherman Blvd is closed.** 

**Apple Ave lane closure active between Sullivan Rd and Swanson Rd. Two-way traffic maintained through work area with automated flagger. Lane closure expected to last approximately one month.**

**Sullivan Road and Apple Ave intersection closed.**

Work completed/in progress:

  • Installed approximately 500 feet of force main next to Apple Ave.
  • Jack and bore completed beneath Apple Ave.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Continue force main installation on south side of Apple Ave.
May 30, 2025

**Enlsey Road north of Sherman Blvd is closed.**

**Apple Ave lane closure active between Sullivan Rd and Swanson Rd. Two-way traffic maintained through work area with automated flagger. Lane closure expected to last approximately one month.**

**Sullivan Road and Apple Ave intersection closed.**

Work completed/in progress:

  • Installed approximately 400 feet of force main next to Apple Ave.
  • Prepared site for jack and bore beneath Apple Ave near Sullivan Road.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Continue force main installation on south side of Apple Ave.
  • Jack and bore 48″ steel casing beneath Apple Avenue near Sullivan Rd.

May 27, 2025

**Enlsey Road north of Sherman Blvd is closed.** 

**Apple Ave lane closure active between Sullivan Rd and Swanson Rd. Two-way traffic maintained through work area with automated flagger. Lane closure expected to last approximately one month.**

**Sullivan Road and Apple Ave intersection closed.**

Work completed/in progress:

  • Installed approximately 700 feet of force main in Ensley Rd.
  • Stripped topsoil on south side of Apple Avenue and installed dewatering wells near Sullivan Rd intersection.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Begin force main installation on south side of Apple Avenue.
May 12, 2025

**Enlsey Road north of Sherman Blvd is closed.** 

Work completed/in progress:

  • Installed approximately 1,400 feet of force main in Ensley Rd.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Continue force main installation in Ensley Rd.
  • Prepare for force main installation in Apple Avenue.
  • Apple Avenue work scheduled to begin May 19.
April 25, 2025

**Enlsey Road north of Sherman Blvd is closed.** 

Work completed/in progress:

  • Installed approximately 300 feet of force main south of Cranberry Creek.
  • Completed initial restoration of Ensley Road south of Cranberry Creek.
  • Began preparing for pipeline laying in Apple Avenue.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Prepare for force main installation in Apple Avenue.
April 18, 2025

Work completed/in progress:

  • Installed force main to south of Cranberry Creek.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Continue force main installation in Ensley Road progressing south.

Ensley Road Detour Route

**Enlsey Road north of Sherman Blvd is closed.***

Work completed/in progress:

  • Installed approximately 3,100′ of force main north and south of Apple Avenue.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Install approximately 100′ of HDPE force main north of Apple Avenue and restore easement area.
  • Begin force main installation in Ensley Road progressing north to south.
March 21, 2025

Work completed/in progress:

  • Installed approximately 2,700′ of force main north and south of Apple Avenue

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Continue force main installation north and south of Apple Avenue, approaching Hall Road north of Apple Avenue and Ensley Road south of Apple Avenue

March 14, 2025

Work completed/in progress:

  • Installed approximately 1,000′ north of Apple Avenue
  • Installed approximately 800′ south of Apple Avenue

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Continue force main installation north and south of Apple Avenue.

March 7, 2025

Work completed/in progress:

  • Completed the Muskegon/Newaygo Branch Drain crossing.
  • Continued force main installation north of Apple Avenue, along the southern end of the storage lagoon.
  • Installed additional dewatering south of Apple Avenue.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Continue force main installation north of Apple Avenue.
  • Continue force main installation south of Apple Avenue.
