Thanks for your patience with this process!

Progress Report:

After a brief delay due to utility conflicts, pathway construction is back in full swing. This week Kalin Construction will finish building the large block retaining wall, and plan to pave the pathway on Friday. 10/4/2024

Upcoming Work:

Following paving this week, crews will begin the restoration and clean up processes. There will be one more layer of pavement installed, and concrete poured for the access points to the boardwalks and at intersections in the next week.

Progress Report:

This week crews continued to make progress on the pathway construction. They constructed several square feet of retaining wall and began preparing the existing surface for gravel east of 62nd Street. Riverworks has completed the final boardwalk construction this week!

Upcoming Work:

Next week Kalin Construction will continue to install the large block retaining wall and begin the process of fine grading the gravel base so it is ready for pavement.

Progress Report:

Last week crews from Riverworks Construction worked quickly to finish the framing and decking on the tall boardwalk by 62nd Street. There is still some remaining work to be done on the boardwalks, Such as; installing the railing fencing and final finishing touches, but they are getting close to completing the boardwalks. Kalin Construction also began working on the large block retaining wall that will be constructed along the west end of the tall boardwalk. They will continue working on the retaining wall this week.

Upcoming Work:

As we noted earlier in the project, things will move quickly. Once Kalin Construction finishes the installation of the retaining wall, they will finalize the grading of the aggregate in preparation for asphalt. We are still on track to have the pathway complete by the beginning of October.

Progress Report:

This week crews continued work on the pathway grading and boardwalk framing and construction. Kalin Construction also installed the drainage structure on the corner of 62nd Street and completed the small block retaining wall.

Upcoming Work:

Next week, Riverworks Construction plans to complete the final boardwalk construction while Kalin begins work on the large block retaining wall. Kalin will also continue to grade the pathway north of 62nd street in preparation for paving! The project is on time and sticking with their schedule to have the project complete by the end of September!

Progress Report: This week, Kalin Construction continued to construct the subgrade for the pathway between the two boardwalk sections. They also installed two culverts. Their Subcontractor Riverworks Construction, continued to drive piles and began framing for the tall boardwalk. They completed the main construction of the first at grade boardwalk in just 10 days!

Upcoming Work: Next week, the crews will continue framing and construction on the taller boardwalk while working on the approach structures to the at grade boardwalk. Kalin Construction plan to begin construction on the small block retaining wall.

Extra Notes: Site safety is very important to us. Please be mindful of your travel speed in and around all construction sites.

Progress Report:

Construction is well under way in Laketown Township. The crews from Kalin Construction arrived this week to begin the pathway construction while Riverworks Construction had two crews onsite constructing the boardwalks and driving piles.

Upcoming Work:

The contractor will continue to remove topsoil and bring in subbase materials for the pathway next week. Riverworks will also continue to drive piles for the boardwalk near 62nd Street, while they simultaneously work on the structure of the first boardwalk.

Extra Notes:

We are able to work with limited shoulder closures however we appreciate your patience with construction traffic as they enter and leave the construction site onto the highway.

Progress Report:

This week work began for the project on the boardwalks. After clearing and mowing the two locations, Riverworks Construction (subcontractor to Kalin Construction) began to set piles in the ground. They completed the piles for the smaller west boardwalk.

Upcoming Work:

Next week Riverworks anticipates two crews working on site. One crew will be building the structure and decking on the piles for the west boardwalk, and the other crew will begin setting piles for the east boardwalk, near 62nd Street, carefully working around the stream.
