Project Information

Contract No. 2: Construct force main from Ottawa County line to Heights Ravenna Road.

Access/Traffic: Local traffic will be maintained during pipeline construction. There may be times when your driveway is inaccessible because pipeline construction is occurring in front of your house or driveway restoration is taking place. The contractor will work with you ahead of time and will make special access arrangements with you if needed.

Mail: Mailboxes that interfere with pipeline construction will be temporarily relocated so that mail service can be maintained during construction. If your mailbox needs to be temporarily relocated, the contractor will inform you of where it has been moved to and when they anticipate it will be returned to its original location.

Garbage Pickup: The contractor will work with you and your waste hauler to maintain service throughout construction. If pipeline construction interferes with your waste haulers ability to pick up your garbage, the contractor will temporarily move your garbage bins to a central location and return them to the end of your driveway by the end of the work day.

**Moorland Rd between Heights Ravenna Rd and Wilson Street is closed. This closure will last several months as force main construction continues.***

Work completed/in progress:

  • Force main construction has progressed south to Mount Garfield Road.
  • Crossed the Herschel Drain (south) and installed replacement culvert.
  • The southbound lane of Moorland Rd south of Mount Garfield Road has been partially pulverized in preparation for force main installation.
  • Began road reconstruction north of Ellis Road

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Continue laying pipe south of Mount Garfield Road.
July 14, 2025

  • Laid approximately 1,000 feet of force main along Moorland Rd south of Ellis Road.
  • Crossed Herschel Drain (North) and installed replacement culvert.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Continue laying pipe south of Ellis Road.
  • Cross Herschel Drain (South) and install replacement culvert.

July 3, 2025

  • Laid approximately 1,500 feet of force main along Moorland Rd south of Ellis Road.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Cross Herschel Drain (North) and install replacement culvert.
  • Continue laying pipe south of Ellis Road.
June 30, 2025

**Ellis Road and Moorland Road intersection opened**

**Moorland Road between Heights Ravenna Road and Wilson Street is closed. Heights Ravenna Road between Moorland Rd and Ravenna Road is closed. These closures will last several months as force main construction continues.**

Work completed/in progress:

  • Installed force main through Ellis Road intersection and continued south.
  • Repaved Ellis Road intersection and opened to traffic.
  • Replaced culverts north of Ellis Road.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Continue laying pipe south of Ellis Road.

June 23, 2025

  • Installed force main to north side of Ellis Road.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Close Ellis Road and install force main through intersection.
  • Restore intersection by the end of the week.

  • Installed approximately 1,100 feet of force main.
  • Tunneled beneath an existing 48″ cross culvert.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Continue pipe laying progressing from north to south

  • Installed approximately 2,500 feet of force main. Force main installation complete to south of Cline Road.
  • Replaced several cross culverts beneath Moorland Road.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Continue pipe laying progressing from north to south
May 12, 2025

Work completed/in progress:

  • Installed approximately 1,600 feet of force main. Force main installation complete to south of Musketawa Trail.
  • Replaced several cross culverts beneath Moorland Road.
