Benton Charter Township - S. Euclid & E Britain Water Main

Important Information

Benton Charter Township will be constructing new watermain this summer and fall along S. Euclid between Highland Ave and Empire Ave, as well as along Britain Ave between Country View Apartments and S. Euclid Ave. Construction is scheduled to start Monday, July 8 and is expected to continue through mid-late October. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact project representatives listed below.

Access/Traffic:

Euclid Ave and Britain Ave will remain open for the majority of the project. A short term road closure with a detour will be needed to construct watermain at the intersection of Britain Ave and Euclid Ave and at Empire Ave and Euclid Ave. Access to driveways within the project area will be maintained. When temporary disruption to driveway access cannot be avoided, driveways will be closed during working hours with overnight access restored. Please contact the contractor listed below if you have a special need for driveway access accommodations during daytime working hours.

Mail:

Mailboxes will be temporarily removed and relocated as necessary in coordination with the Postmaster General to allow for excavation and maintain mail service during the project.

Garbage Pickup:

Normal trash pickup schedules will remain throughout the project. When construction work hinders access, the contractor will transport trash containers to an accessible location and return them to the property.
