Here are some recent photos from the construction site this week:

Summit will be closed when crews are working in the street. Please use the posted detour of 6th Street to Sherman to Peck to go around the site. For the safety of the workers, please avoid driving through the construction sites. No on-street parking is allowed in the construction zone. Residents on Fifth Street will have access to their homes and driveways, which will be maintained with gravel. Access to the rear alleys for Fifth Street residents will also be maintained.

Note: Access to Broadway site is closed to all, even if it looks open. Please don’t move any of the barricades. The intersection of Broadway and Baker is open to cross Broadway. Peck is temporarily closed due to the structure adjustments in the intersection. Both Peck and Baker Streets will likely be temporarily closed when the final paving takes place, which will be next week.

Please remember that after your water service is replaced, it may look discolored when it is restored. This is normal. Be sure to flush all interior plumbing after water is restored, starting with the cold water in a bathtub. It also helps to remove the aerator (screen) on the faucet.
