Muskegon County - Pump Station W Force Main Replacement

Important Information

The Muskegon County Resource Recovery Center (MCRRC) is replacing approximately 7,000 ft of aging sanitary sewer pipelines within an easement north of Oakhurst Cemetery, along Peterson Road, and within Colby Street/Holton Whitehall Road. The replacement pipeline will be located on the east side of Peterson, and on the south side of Colby Street. This work will be completed by Kamminga & Roodvoets (K&R), a local Grand Rapids-based contracting firm.

Sanitary sewer construction will begin after Labor Day and will be completed by November 2023.

Sewer construction will take place within the road and therefore traffic within Peterson Road and Colby Street will be impacted. Access to businesses may be temporarily restricted as sewer construction progresses down Colby Street. K&R will coordinate temporary closures in advance and restore drives as soon as possible.

Please contact any of the project representatives below if you have questions or concerns.
