This week, My-Con completed the underground work in 148th Avenue and brought the road back up to grade. My-Con plans to have 148th Avenue repaved and opened to through traffic at the end of next week.
Underground work continues on the North Bank Trail between 148th Avenue and 144th Avenue. The trail will continue to be closed to pedestrian traffic until work is completed on this segment of trail. Work between 148th and 144th Avenues is anticipated to be completed near the end of September, after which the work area will move east of 144th Avenue.
The Ottawa County Road Commission Public Utilities, along with Spring Lake Township and Crockery Township, are beginning construction on a project to connect the Hathaway Lakes sanitary sewer district into the Grand Haven Spring Lake Sewer Authority’s system, with abandonment of the Crockery Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Work has begun at 148th Avenue and will proceed to the east along the North Bank Trail. Current Trail closures are in place from 144th Avenue to 148th Avenue. 148th Avenue is closed to through traffic at the North Bank Trail with the posted detour using State Road, North Fruitport Road and Cleveland Street. Work in this location is anticipated to be completed in mid-September.
