December 20, 2024

Work completed/in progress: Conduit and steel installation continued this week.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week: Grand River will install the remaining formwork and intends to pour the final wall on December 27.

December 13, 2024

Work completed/in progress: the third wall section was poured on Tuesday.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week: Grand River will continue to prepare for the fourth and final wall pour, which is tentatively scheduled for December 23.

Work completed/in progress:
  • Second wall pour completed and third wall pour preparations underway.
Anticipated work activities for the coming week:
  • The third wall pour is scheduled for Tuesday.
November 22, 2024

Work completed/in progress:

  • Preparations for the second wall pour were delayed due to weather. The wall forms and bulkheads have been installed.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • The second wall pour is now scheduled for Monday.
November 15, 2024

Work completed/in progress:

  • The first wall pour was completed this week (see photos).
  • Conduit and rebar are installed for the second wall pour.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Forms will be stripped and moved to the next wall section. The second wall pour is scheduled for next week Wednesday.
November 8, 2024

Work completed/in progress:

  • Installation of the remaining wall forms was delayed due to rain and high winds this week.
  • All wall pipes and conduit are now in place and the wall is nearly ready for concrete.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • The date of the first wall pour is scheduled for next week Wednesday.
  • GRC is moving forward with preparing for the second wall pour in the southeast corner of the structure.

November 1, 2024

Work completed/in progress:

  • Installation of reinforcing steel and conduit for the first wall pour is nearly complete.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Grand River Construction will install the remaining form work, with a pour planned for late next week.

October 25, 2024

Work completed/in progress:

  • Forms and reinforcing steel are being installed for the first wall pour.
  • Base slab has been backfilled.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Installation of steel and construction of bulkheads will continue, with a pour tentatively scheduled as early as Friday.
October 18, 2024
Work completed/in progress:
  • Base slab pour completed yesterday. Attached are photos of the work effort.
Anticipated work activities for the coming week:
  • Backfill the base slab.
  • Installation of reinforcing steel for the first wall pour.
October 11, 2024

Work completed/in progress:

  • Grand River Construction has completed installation of the steel reinforcing for the base slab and is finalizing preparations for the concrete pour.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • The base slab concrete pour is planned for the middle of the week.
