I hope this email finds everyone and their family in good health and spirits. The weather pattern is more like March than mid-April, however, it’s not enough to stop the project.
The Governor’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” Executive Order continues to be clarified almost daily. This has resulted in the project being deemed essential by MDOT again. This allows the project to continue and the contractor has agreed to return to work. Therefore, the project will recommence on Monday April 20. Since everything is evolving so rapidly, we have very limited information at this time. The following work schedule is all we have and will communicate updates and changes and we can.
Project Schedule
- Week of April 20 – April 24
- Milbocker will be removing and reconstructing driveways in preparation of base course asphalt. They will also finish milling Piney Point. Milbocker may start the fine grading process of the roadway as well in preparation for paving the following week.
- Week of April 27 – May 1
- Milbocker will be fine grading the roadway and base paving the road. Hard surface driving is in sight!
Site Safety
The construction site is going to get busy again. Please use caution as you travel the roadway. When the paving occurs, please use extreme caution and be patient as the crews lay and roll the asphalt.
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact any of the project team members and please stay home and stay safe.
