I would like to start out by thanking everyone for being patient as the reconstruction project recently started back up and the inconveniences of the work hampers the neighborhood. I would also like to continue to ask everyone for a little grace as we progress a project like this in these unprecedented times.
The Governor’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” executive order has officially impacted the project at this time. Milbocker and the contract with MDOT is now included in the shutdown. The shutdown is anticipated to impact the construction schedule only, it is not anticipated to affect any quality or workmanship. At this time, Milbocker has secured the construction site and will wait for further input and direction from MDOT and the Cities of Grand Haven and Ferrysburg. With many unknowns still looming and the ever changing directives from the State and the Federal government, we are not prepared to give a recommencement information at this time. We will communicate that to everyone as soon as we know it.
The site has been secured in preparation of the delay. Milbocker will be checking on the traffic control devices periodically along with the engineer and city staff. If you see something that needs to be addressed, please contact one of the project team members and we will get the appropriate response moving. Again, please use caution as you traverse the construction site during the delay.
