Here is a brief update for the improvements to Glenside Boulevard between Broadway Avenue (Garrison) and Sherman Boulevard. Construction activity picked up again later in the week this past week after the rain came through town.
Work Completed this Past Week:
- Storm drainage pipe delivered and laid out through the site
- Coordination with the Railroad and excavation began to start the boring and jacking of a casing pipe under the railroad tracks for the storm drainage pipe
- Boring and jacking of steel casing pipe began
- Clearing of area for the new path on the west side was done
Work Anticipated Week of July 31, 2023
- Completion of the installation of the steel casing pipe under the railroad tracks
- Storm drainage pipe installation and storm drainage structures will be installed
Work Anticipated Week of August 7, 2023
- Completion of storm drainage pipes and structures
- Completion of short run of water main under Glenside and new hydrant on east side
- Road Grading in preparation for road base material
