Here is a quick update on the progress of construction on Leahy Street between Sherman and Barney in Muskegon Heights.
Work Completed This Past Week
- The final water main connections were completed at Barney and Leahy
- All underground utility work is complete
Work Anticipated Week of July 10, 2023
- Surveying and staking for the new roadway will begin
- Crews will begin cutting the road down to the appropriate depth of road base gravel and begin placing gravel on the roadway
- Additional removals of any loose sidewalk or driveway pieces will be completed
- The edge of the road will be located for the new concrete curb and gutter
Work Anticipated Week of July 17, 2023
- Continued work on cutting the road, adding road gravel, grading and compacting and preparing for new concrete curb and gutter
