Progress Report: McCormick Sand continued water main installation on Ferry Street to the south to north of Oakes Avenue. Water main testing and disinfection procedures were completed on the newly installed water main between Grant Avenue and Taylor Avenue. Road removals on the west lane of Ferry Street between Taylor Avenue and Robbins Road were also completed in preparation of continued water main installation.
Upcoming Work: McCormick Sand will continue road restoration efforts on the west lane of Ferry Street between Colfax Ave and Taylor Ave. The newly installed water main on Ferry Street between Grant Ave and Taylor Ave will be connected to live water main at Grant Avenue. Groundwater dewatering systems will be set up along Ferry Street south of Oakes Avenue in preparation of water main construction continuing to south. Water main progress to the south of Ferry Street will continue by mid to late next week.
Extra Notes: Residents and motorists are reminded to stay clear of construction equipment and excavations on the project site. As water main construction continues south, access to each property will be affected and will change with the progress of construction.
