Upcoming Work:
McCormick Sand is going to begin the mobilization process on the project starting on Monday, April 1st for the first phase of the project at Grant Avenue. Mobilization will consist of delivering construction equipment and materials to the project location. Traffic Control devices are going to be set up which will involve the closure of Grant Avenue and Ferry Street from Grant Ave to Colfax St. A detour will be set up utilizing Pennoyer Ave, Beechtree St, and Taylor Ave. Once the road closure is set up, McCormick Sand will begin excavating into the Ferry Street and Grant Avenue intersection for water main construction.
Extra Notes:
To ensure information is readily available to residents, property owners, service providers, and those affected by detour routes, the City has created an email distribution list to communicate project updates. If anyone would like to receive updates, please email dkollewehr@grandhaven.org stating that they would like to receive updates related to the Ferry Street project.
Residents and motorists are asked to be patient while traffic control and road closures are being set up for the start of the project and always to use caution when they are around construction activity.
