Work completed/in progress from this past week:
- Kamminga & Roodvoets was awarded the contract for the road improvements between Division and River.
- Lakewood closed between 160th and 152nd. Traffic detoured to James Street.
- Lakewood closed between 152nd and 144th. Traffic detoured to Ottawa Beach.
- Lakewood closed between 144th and River. Traffic detoured to Douglas/Ottawa Beach.
- 36″ transmission main construction progressed to 152nd Ave.
- Drilling contractor continues to remove material for pipe installation beneath Pine Creek.
- HDPE pipe welded and staged for drilling.
- Water service verification and replacement, as necessary.
- Road building behind transmission main installation continues.
- Partial road removal between Division and Aniline completed.
Anticipated activities for next week include:
- Second water main crew will be on-site.
- 152nd Avenue intersection will be closed and transmission main will be installed across intersection.
- Temporarily shut down section of Park Township water main west of 152nd for modifications and install a new hydrant.
- Begin transmission main installation between 144th and Aniline.
- Drilling contractor will continue to remove material for pipe installation beneath Pine Creek.
- Water service and sanitary lateral verification and replacement.
- Dewatering setups as necessary.
