Work Completed This Past Week:
- Crews lowered manhole covers in the road
- Milling machines removed the asphalt from the road and took the road down to the gravel road base material
- Concrete curb and gutter is being removed throughout the project limits on Leahy between Sherman and Broadway
- Areas of removal have been marked and measured
- Materials were delivered to the job site
Work Anticipated Week of May 8, 2023
- Work will begin Monday with new water main pipe being placed starting at Sherman
- Once crews install pipe up to Hume Avenue, they will work to get that first block tested to be tied in to the existing system
- Crews will continue laying new water main pipe up to Barney
- Removal of concrete curb and gutter, driveway approaches, sidewalk and ramps will continue
Work Anticipated Week of May 15, 2023
- The first tie-in of new water main could take place at Sherman. Residences will be notified prior to losing water
- Water Service lines will begin to be replaced in the first block between Sherman and Hume
- Water main pipe will continue to be placed up to Barney and in Hume between Baker and Leahy
