Work to Date
- Water main has been placed, tested, tied-in and crews have stubbed water services to the right-of way line in the following locations.
- Brookhills Court
- Brookpoint Drive
- Winterberry Court
- Misty Court
- Ridgemont Court
- Watermain has been placed and testing is underway on Woodbrook Drive and Tricklewood Drive.
- Restorative efforts are continuing, and damaged irrigation systems are being repaired.
Work Upcoming
- Water main tie-ins will be completed on Tricklewood Drive and on Woodbrook Dr.
- Water services stubs will be completed on Tricklewood Drive and on Woodbrook Dr.
- Beginning in early November, crews anticipate beginning the installation of the watermain on Oak Tree Dr and on Forest Valley Dr between Oak Tree Dr and Forest Valley Ct.
- Crews will continue restorative efforts in completed areas with the possibility of starting to replace driveways and road pavement in the next couple weeks.
- Tree removals on Burger and Thornapple River Drive will begin on Nov. 4th. This date has been moved back from the original October date at the request of the Kent County Road Commission.
General Notes
- Residents are encouraged to reach out to McDonald Plumbing to get a quote specific to their property. We respectfully ask that homeowners on Brookhills Court, Brookpoint Drive, Winterberry Court and Misty Court, Ridgemont Ct, Tricklewood Dr. , Woodbrook Dr., Oak Tree St and Forest Valley Dr between Oak Tree and Forest Valley Ct prioritize getting quotes as soon as possible as those home may be ready for connection yet this year. As all the remaining work will be completed in 2025, remaining homeowners should choose to wait until fall/winter of 2024 or early spring of 2025. Residents should be aware that after your yard has been dug, it may be up to a month before we are able to complete the work and repair irrigation systems. - As a reminder, the quotes for the work that McDonald Plumbing will be providing will be paid for by the project. The only fees responsible for the homeowner would be the difference in price if one elects to proceed with copper instead of the default of plastic for the private portion of the water service.
