We have reached the finish line! The final course of asphalt went down yesterday and was finished this morning. Due to the rain today, we couldn’t get the permanent pavement striping down, but temporary tape lines are going down as I type and the road will be open later today. Topsoil was placed this week and seeding went down today. Signs were installed this week and general cleanup of the site occurred. Mailboxes were re-installed. The Contractor was going to get with the mail carrier today to relocate some mail that remained in the temporary boxes to your mail box. Once that is done, the temporary mailboxes will be removed.
Thank you all for your patience!
We are having a meeting onsite to walk the job Monday afternoon, October 8, 2018. At that time, we will review a list of work that remains which we call our “punchlist”. Please let us know if you have any restoration or specific issues that need to be addressed. We do ask that you water the lawn areas so that grass gets established before the weeds set in. If the grass establishes itself, it will choke out the weeds that may grow.
Permanent pavement striping will go down next week or if the weather breaks, tomorrow.
We already know of some issues out in the field that are not yet complete, but please let us know sooner rather than later if something needs to be addressed.
There will be crews available next week to complete any issues that remain on the project, but the road will be open for the weekend. Traffic control signs and barricades will be removed next week and also from the detour route.
Thank you again for your patience and cooperation during this important project. We will be back next Summer to complete the remainder of Broadway Avenue between Getty and Bailey.
