Progress along Kinney Avenue continues on! Here’s a quick update for this week:
Work Completed Last Week
- Drive approaches and mainline sidewalk on the east side of Kinney Avenue were installed from GVSU Private Drive to Edinboro Street
- The 30-inch water main was crossed under with 30-inch storm sewer on Wednesday.
- 30-inch mainline storm sewer will continue to be installed north of Thornwyk Drive.
- The top course of asphalt on the GVSU Private Drive was placed on Friday and topsoil was installed.
Anticipated Work This Week
- Continue installing mainline storm sewer from just north of Thornwyk Drive to the north. Storm sewer is anticipated to be completed before the end of the month.
- The northbound lane of Kinney Avenue will be milled all the way to the project limits near Leonard Avenue.
- The roadway will be built up to the aggregate base from Edinboro Street to the north.
