Last week was a big week! Over 1,000 feet of the path was paved through a section of the wooded area between along the west edge of the Terra Verde golf course and 112th Avenue.
At the trailhead parking lot off 120th Avenue, concrete sidewalk was placed, as well as the base layer of asphalt.
Crews then focused on moving their equipment into the woods to begin driving piles for the next boardwalk. They began driving Friday afternoon and continued on Saturday.
What To Expect This Week
The earth work crews will be grading from the nearly completed boardwalk (that can be seen from the highway) out to 112th Avenue, while the bridge crew will continue constructing bracing and structural components to the piles.
Bikers and runners on 120th Avenue, please be mindful of the difference in pavement at the entrance to the new trailhead parking lot.
Thank you for your continued patience with construction equipment and haul vehicles on Leonard Road and through the Terra Verde golf course.
