Work Completed This Week:

Gabe’s Construction completed reaming of the bore hole on Tuesday. On Wednesday morning, crews began the pullback process after 7 weeks of site preparation that began the week of February 18th. This included pullback of nearly 4,000 feet of pipe with three mid fuses and was completed at 10:00 pm on Wednesday night!
The force main will be pressure tested either the end of this week or early next with the assistance of West Michigan Dirtworks.
West Michigan Dirtworks crews were not on site this week.

Anticipated Work Next Week:

West Michigan Dirtworks Crews will begin restoring Beechtree Street and Fulton Street including curb and gutter.

Materials are anticipated to be delivered for the Spring Lake side. Work on the Spring Lake side is currently scheduled to begin the week of May 13th. This work will include closures on Division Street and Exchange Street along with Cutler Street that will remain closed.


Gabe’s Construction has worked around the clock in the last couple of weeks to complete the pipe pull just 4 days after their initial schedule submitted at the pre-construction meeting. Nice Work!
West Michigan Dirtworks remains on schedule for the milestone completion date to have the Beechtree/Fulton intersection open (along with the RV Park entrance drive open) by May 1, 2019.
