As of this week Dean’s has installed all of the force main pipe south of 10 Mile Road. Dean’s also spent this week working on some piping at the lift station site in Saddle Ridge and inside the air release chambers along the force main route. Dean’s will be testing the last section of force main pipe over the next few days. Pending passing test results, Dean’s will complete the final force main connections along Wolven early next week. By the end of next week, the goal is to have wastewater pumped through the new force main by an electric bypass pump which will be installed at the existing wastewater treatment plant in Saddle Ridge. Once this bypass pump is up and running there will be no need for the pump and haul operation. This means the tanker trucks will stop making daily trips into Saddle Ridge. The bypass pump will stay in operation for the next few months until Dean’s receives the lift station materials and can install the pumps and control panel.
