Cooperative grant program reopened
July 10, 2012
Townships can apply for grants from the state’s Economic Vitality Incentive Grant Program, which was reopened after the Legislature approved a supplemental appropriation that included an extra $10 million for the program. The grants aim to provide funding to offset costs for townships, cities, villages and counties interested in service sharing or consolidation and other cooperative efforts among municipalities. All townships are eligible to apply. The grant deadline has been extended to July 27.
