Dam removals, critical dam maintenance funding application due November 13

October 28, 2015

Dam removal and maintenance is a significant issue, as it enhances fishing, reduces infrastructure costs, and makes Michigan safer.

“The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has announced its Dam Management Grant Program is now open for proposals. The fourth year of this grant opportunity will provide $350,000 in fiscal year 2016 to address Michigan’s failing dam infrastructure through the funding of dam removals and critical repair/maintenance.

“Interested parties will have to register with MiRecGrants and then complete and submit an application once registration has been approved by DNR Grants Management. MiRecGrants can be accessed at michigan.gov/dnr-grants.”  Read More.
