As we anticipate spring, we know this extraordinary winter was not kind to our roads and they will need substantial repair.
According to good friend Don Stypula of Collaboration Matters, the State may be providing as much as $100 million in one-time funding to help road agencies. The Michigan Senate Appropriations Committee will present this funding measure to the full Senate tomorrow. The $100 million would be split among MDOT (39.1 percent), county roads (39.1 percent) and cities/villages roads (21.8 percent).
