The Village of Sparta wanted a water splash pad feature in its downtown park, and received a $45,000 MDNR Recreation Passport Grant to build one. The grant required that Sparta get bids from at least three splash pad contractors, so Prein&Newhof assisted the Village with pre-qualification of vendors so that the bids would be competitive and fair. Before bid documents were prepared, Prein&Newhof contacted splash pad equipment vendors to obtain product options and specifications, helped Village staff define desired performance and material requirements, compared/evaluated products, and met with Village staff to select desired products and identification of vendors that can meet the desired requirements.
Prein&Newhof also did a topographic survey, soil borings, final design drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents, review of shop drawings, and construction inspection.
