Restore your community’s forestry with Community Forestry Grants Program

Have you noticed a loss of trees in your community, due to the harsh winter or disease? The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has $100,000 available for street/park tree management and planning, urban forestry, Arbor Day celebrations, or urban forestry education/training events through its 2014 Community Forestry Grants Program.

Applications are due September 12. Grants up to $20,000 are available. Projects awarded funding must be completed by Sept. 1, 2015 and performed on public land or land that is open to the public.
