Prein&Newhof is proud to announce that the members of Michigan Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE) recently elected P&N Senior Project Manager Thomas Wheat, PE as its President.
As the state chapter of the National Society of Professional Engineers, MSPE is the organization of licensed Professional Engineers (PEs) and Engineer Interns (EIs). MSPE serves as a recognized expert in licensure, ethics, and professional practice; promotes and protects licensure and assists individuals in becoming licensed; provides opportunities for members to enhance their professional and technical competency; and performs community outreach designed to promote and expand the engineering profession.
Tom has been a member of MSPE for 25 years, during which time he has served on numerous committees. He is currently Chair of the MSPE Southwest Michigan Chapter Math Counts committee, and has served as Vice President for the MSPE Western Region twice. Tom is a licensed professional engineer in Michigan since 1995, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from the University of Michigan. He serves as a Team Leader at Prein&Newhof, manages its Kalamazoo office, and is a member of the company’s Executive and Health & Safety Committees.
Prein&Newhof applauds Tom for achieving this leadership position amongst his peers in the engineering industry, and for his service to the profession in this way.
