The City of Charlevoix partnered with Prein&Newhof to redesign its wastewater treatment plant located on the coast of Lake Michigan. “Why?” You ask.
The plant was experiencing some significant problems. It had difficulties appropriately nitrifying cold water in the winter, managing the increased demand for water during the warmer tourist months, and meeting new MDEQ regulations and safety standards. So what did Prein&Newhof recommend?
