MDEQ accepting Wellhead Protection Grant Applications

The MDEQ has released the The Wellhead Protection Grant Program application for 2014. These grants require a 50% local match and assist communities in developing and implementing wellhead protection plans in order to protect public water supply systems from groundwater contamination.

To win this grant, you will need:

  • 50% local match through local funds,
  • A  wellhead protection team of at least three persons, and
  • A minimum score of 10 on the application.
