Whitehall project makes SEMCOG Green Streets Guidebook

The City of Whitehall reconstructed Lake Street as a green street last fall. The low impact design features are working so well that one of the storm water outfalls has yet to see water! Lake Street is located on the east side of White Lake, an EPA designated Area of Concern.

Whitehall’s Lake Street has recently been included as a case study in the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments Green Streets Guidebook.  It is featured on page 27. Check it out! The other case studies are fascinating, too.
