Progress Report:
- The contractor connected the water transmission main to the tie-in point at the end of the last phase just north of Port Sheldon. The contractor has continued to construct water main to the north of Rush Creek, working their way towards Tyler St.
- Work on the sanitary sewer project is still on hold for the time being but is complete except for the crossing of Rush Creek and final tie-in.
- The road remains closed to through traffic and should not be used except for local traffic only. Local traffic should proceed with caution and be mindful of the workers present.
Upcoming Work:
- In the coming weeks the contractor will install a valve and test the portion of the water main that they’ve constructed so far.
- The contractor will continue to reconstruct and grade 48th Ave where the water main has been constructed to prepare for eventual paving.
- The contractor also plans to finish the sanitary sewer crossing of Rush Creek in the coming weeks.
Note: We ask the public to respect the workers and the closed road. Police will continue to be present to safe working conditions and to ensure the road is only being used sparingly by those who live or work on this road and not by though traffic.
