Ottawa County Parks is continuing the Idema Explorers Trail through the Eastmanville Bayou, closing an important gap in the regional trail network.
Construction is scheduled to begin in late summer 2026 and continue through late fall, with remaining work resuming in spring 2027. The project will connect the Eastmanville Boat Launch at 68th Street to the existing pedestrian infrastructure on 60th Street near the intersection of Comfort Street.
Access/Traffic:
Construction will utilize shoulder closures along the project corridor. Access to homes and properties will be maintained throughout the duration of construction.
Mail:
Contractor will coordinate with the USPS regarding any temporary mailbox relocations. However, we do not anticipate needing this option.
Garbage Pickup: Garbage Pickup will not be affected
Water Service: Water services will not be affected by the pathway project
