Village of Vicksburg - Sprinkle Road Force Main, Lift Station & Biofilter

Important Information

Sanitary sewer force main will be installed along the west side of Sprinkle Road from TU Avenue in Brady Twp to Zylman Ave in the City of Portage. Preparatory work is set to begin in March. Excavation is anticipated to start in early April at the north end of the project working south. The estimated completion date is December 2026.

Access/Traffic:

Local traffic will be maintained at all times. Several detours will be used throughout the duration of the project and updates will be provided via this website. Where necessary for construction, driveways may be removed temporarily to allow the installation of the sewer pipe. Driveways access will be restored at the end of each day.

Beginning in the afternoon of Thursday, May 7, Sprinkle Rd between Zylman Ave and Branch Ave will be converted to a single lane of one-way traffic going south bound for local traffic only, north bound traffic will not be permitted. Please see the map on the reverse side of this flyer for the detour route for all northbound and thru traffic. For residents on the east side of Sprinkle Rd, all traffic entering and exiting the neighborhood will be directed through Lum Street. Gray St, Mahoney St, Hayes St and Waruf Ave will all be closed at Sprinkle Rd. On the west side of Sprinkle Rd, Biscayne Ave will be closed at Sprinkle Rd; please use Pompano Ave to enter and exit the neighborhood. We expect this section of work to last approximately 4-6 weeks. We apologize for any inconvenience – please understand this change to traffic control is for the safety of workers and the motoring public. Please allow yourself extra time for commuting and follow all posted traffic signs.

Beginning on Monday, March 16, 2026 Sprinkle Road will be closed to through traffic from Romence Rd to S Ave. Detour signs will be posted. Please be aware that the work zone is limited to Sprinkle Road from Zylman Ave to S Ave. Local traffic will be maintained at all times. This closure is expected to be in place through July, 2026.
