Progress Report

• The new water main is installed in Broadway between Glade and Temple. Customers are connected to the new water main in this location, and it is tied to the existing system and in service.
• The new water main is installed in Broadway between 9^th Street and 5^th Street with connections to the existing system at 6^th Street, 7^th Street, and 8^th Street.  Customers are being connected to the new water main between 9^th and 5^th Streets.
• Storm drains are being replaced between Glade and Temple.
• Traffic control and preparations are being made for water main work on Delano Avenue between Reynolds and Getty Streets

The posted detour for Broadway Avenue is Glade Street to Summit Avenue to Peck Street back to Broadway.

Upcoming Work Planned for Next Few Weeks:

• Water mains will be tied in at Broadway and 9^th Street on Monday, April 20, 2026. This will mean a temporary water disruption for all customers on 9^th Street between Summit and Sherman between 8 AM and 4 PM.  Water should be turned back on before the end of the day. If the water is cloudy, that is air trapped in the lines. Please be sure to flush all of your water fixtures and clean the aerators on your faucets. It is best to flush the Cold water in a bathtub first because there is typically no aerator there, and it will move the most water. Be sure to remember to flush outside spigots as well now that the weather is improving.
• Sanitary sewer manholes will be replaced in the intersections of Broadway between 9^th and 5^th Streets
• Additional water main work will occur on 6^th Street between Summit and Sherman, with 2 new hydrants and some water connections to eliminate an old water main on 6^th Street
• Storm drain work will take place on Broadway between 9^th and 5^th Streets
• Water service lines will be replaced between 8^th and 5^th Street
• Roadway will begin to be shaped on Broadway between Temple and Glade Streets
• Water service replacements are happening all over the City as part of the Lead Service Line Replacement program
• Pavement removals for water main work on Delano between Reynolds and Ray Streets
• Water main work will begin on Delano Avenue between Reynolds and Ray Streets with the connections to the large water main in the alleys and installation of new hydrants and valves
