Broadway Avenue will be closed to thru traffic Monday morning at Glade Street and at 5th Street. Access to Broadway will also be cut off from all side streets except Temple Street and 6th Street where the contractor will keep these intersections open as much as possible for crossing Broadway Avenue.
The posted detour for Broadway Avenue will be: Glade Street to Summit Avenue to Peck Street back to Broadway.
Upcoming Work Planned for Next Few Weeks:
- Barricades will go up on Monday, March 2 and the road will be closed to thru traffic
- Manholes and other iron structures in the roadway will be excavated and lowered
- The road surface will be milled off
- Materials will be delivered to the construction site
- Water main installation will begin in 2 locations: 5th Street working west and Temple Street working west beginning Monday, March 9
