Progress Report
- Broadway: All underground utility work is nearly complete.
- Broadway: Crews continue to install underdrain and road gravel base to get ready for more concrete curb and sidewalk
- Delano Avenue: Just a few intersections remain for underground work. Crews are preparing to make asphalt restoration.
- Sanford Street: New water main pipe has been installed and tied in from Norton to Oakwood and in Maplewood between Sanford and Jefferson. Customers are being connected to the new water main.
- Norton Avenue: A new 18-inch valve was successfully installed on a major water transmission main near Peck Street
- Oakwood Avenue: Crews are getting portions of the pavement removed for water main connections along Oakwood between Glade and Mona. Also, a new water main will be installed in Cleveland between Glade and Lemuel.
- Amsterdam Avenue: Crews are getting ready to remove pavement for a full reconstruction of the roadway with new water main between 6th Street and Sanford Street.
- Getty Tank: The tank was being washed this week in preparation of a new paint job
The posted detour for Broadway Avenue is Glade Street to Summit Avenue to Peck Street back to Broadway.
The posted detour for Delano Avenue is Reynolds Street to Hackley Avenue to Getty Street
The posted detour for Sanford Street is Oakwood Avenue to 5th Street to Norton Avenue
Upcoming Work Planned for Next Few Weeks:
- Broadway: Road reconstruction, along with sidewalks, curb and gutter is ongoing through the entire corridor.
- Water service replacements are happening all over the City as part of the Lead Service Line Replacement program
- Delano: Water main connections will take place at Jarman this week and work will move over to Ray Street intersection
- Delano: Intersections at alleys and at Howden and Wood will be rebuilt with gravel and concrete curb and gutter. Asphalt road restoration is likely in some areas before Independence Day
- Sanford: Water services are being connected to the new water mains. New storm drains will be installed/replaced at the same time.
- Oakwood: Water main connection work will begin next week at Cleveland and Glade and then progress down Oakwood between Glade and Mona.
- Getty Tank: Repainting will begin with a very large containment shroud being installed for protection while the old paint is blasted off before the tank can be repainted
