Progress Report
- Reinforcing steel was installed in the vertical sections of the west wing walls
- Concrete was poured in the vertical sections of the west wing walls
- Side walls along the tunnel were prepped for pouring next week
Upcoming Work Planned for Next Few Weeks:
- Side walls leading to the tunnel will be poured with concrete
- Backfilling behind the walls and around the tunnel on the west side will begin for the road crossing to take place
- When the road is closed, access will be allowed to all homes and businesses, but no traffic will be allowed across M-52
- While the road is closed, the tunnel will be installed across the road and the west 2 lanes will be reconstructed
- Preparations are being made for the full road closure, which is planned (WEATHER PERMITTING) for July 6-15, 2026. Detours will be M-34 west to Industrial Drive to US-223 to Business US-223.
