Van Buren – Butternut to US-31

• Van Buren from Butternut to US-31 is closed.

• Road building between 140^th and 136^th continues. Next week, the first layer of asphalt will be placed from 140^th through 136^th Ave.
• Restoration between 152^nd and 144^th continues.

• Work on miscellaneous transmission main items continued.
• A repair to the transmission main near 140^th Avenue was completed.
• Work inside the pipe continues.

164^th – New Holland to Van Buren

• 164^th Ave is closed between New Holland and Van Buren.

• Unsuitable soils were removed from the work area in advance of transmission main installation.
• Transmission main installation will begin first thing next week on the south end of 164^th Avenue.

Van Buren – US-31 to 96^th Avenue

• Van Buren from US-31 to 120^th Ave is closed.
• The Van Buren/120^th Avenue intersection is scheduled to close late next week for approximately two weeks.

• The tunneling operation beneath US-31 has been suspended for the time being.
• Work was completed on valve vault piping and adjacent appurtenances near 128^th Avenue.
• Transmission main installation will begin first thing next week just west of 120^th Avenue, progressing east.

New Holland – 104^th to 96^th & Easement

• Van Buren Street between 104^th and 96^th Avenue is closed.

• Work continued on pipe appurtenances adjacent to Van Buren Street.
• Next week, the interior of the pipe will be prepared for final acceptance testing. Acceptance testing is scheduled for the weeks of September 21 and 28.

Drinking Water Plant – Surge Suppression System

• Basement plumbing passed air testing.
• Basement slab rebar installation is underway.
