Progress Report:

Earlier this week, Dykema did the final grading of gravel in the driveway and parking lots, and this morning Superior Asphalt starting placing the base layer of asphalt.

ODC continues construction of the outdoor playground area. ODC provided the following update: “The ODC team has nearly completed the bouldering wall through the center of the playscape area and have begun installing the elevated deck structure, which will link the lower and upper tiers of the playscape areas. The team is utilizing Black Locust posts, harvested and prepared by the ODC team in West Michigan, for the structure of the deck. Black Locust is a non-native invasive species and also has high rot-resistant qualities, which makes it an ideal wood for this type of installation.”

The Visser team continues with building construction. Visser indicated that drywall finishing is complete and priming is in process. HVAC, exterior stonework, siding, and windows are being installed.

Upcoming Work:

ODC: The team will continue over the next few weeks to build the deck, climber, and western most features of the playscape. With the cooler months coming, the team will push to get the larger equipment installed in order to get concrete sidewalks installed before the weather limits.

Visser: finish window installation, concrete polishing, continue exterior stone and siding work, continue painting rooms and exterior.
