Work completed/in progress:

  • Installation of reinforcing steel and conduit for the first wall pour is nearly complete.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Grand River Construction will install the remaining form work, with a pour planned for late next week.

Work completed/in progress:

  • Forms and reinforcing steel are being installed for the first wall pour.
  • Base slab has been backfilled.

  • Installation of steel and construction of bulkheads will continue, with a pour tentatively scheduled as early as Friday.

  • Backfill the base slab.
  • Installation of reinforcing steel for the first wall pour.

  • Grand River Construction has completed installation of the steel reinforcing for the base slab and is finalizing preparations for the concrete pour.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • The base slab concrete pour is planned for the middle of the week.

 

Work completed/in progress:
  • Excavation for the new lift station structure is complete and mud mat is poured.
  • Steel for the base slab has been delivered to the site.
Anticipated work activities for the coming week:
  • Grand River Construction will begin tying steel reinforcing for the base slab (anticipated to take 1-2 weeks).

Work completed/in progress:

  • Schippers Excavating has nearly completed the excavation for the new lift station structure.

Anticipated work activities for the coming week:

  • Grand River Construction will pour a concrete mud mat in the bottom of the excavation, which will be used as the foundation for the structure’s base slab.
  • A crane will be brought to the site as work begins on the base slab.

Grand Rivers Construction’s sub, Schippers, is mobilizing and prepping for site excavation. Excavation is anticipated to take more than a month.

Progress Report: Relocation of the existing gas main has been completed.

Upcoming Work: A temporary construction access drive will be constructed as soon as next week just north of the existing lift station. Construction traffic will be entering and exiting the site off 64th Avenue. The contractor will then begin excavation of the site.

  • Relocation of a gas main on the property began last week and is expected to be completed by the end of the month (see photos).
  • Grand River Construction plans to mobilize equipment the first week of September and begin construction the second week of September.
  • Construction will start with excavation of the site for the 30-foot deep lift station structure.
  • West Randall Lift Station project has been awarded to Grand River Construction of Hudsonville, Michigan
  • Grand River Construction tentatively plans to begin construction of the lift station this month
  • Prior to construction, relocation of utilities and regrading of the adjacent stormwater retention pond is expected to occur
